In the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2020, Sunway University is proudly ranked amongst the top 500 universities in the world for the discipline area of Business and Management Studies.
The QS World University Rankings by Subject 2020 ranking is based upon academic reputation, employer reputation, and research impact. It covers a total of 48 disciplines, grouped into five broad subject areas namely, Art and Humanities; Engineering and Technology; Life Sciences and Medicine; Natural Sciences; and Social Sciences and Management.
Professor Graeme Wilkinson, Sunway University Vice-Chancellor delightedly commented, “This represents another milestone on our journey to become a world-leading institution. For the first time, we are given a subject ranking in the bracket #451-500, which is in the top 2% of universities in the world for this subject area. It shows that Sunway University is continuing to make good progress.”
Professor Wilkinson thanked and congratulated the members of the institution involved in raising the profile of the academic and research activities related to the field of business and management studies. “This subject ranking demonstrates the excellent performance of Sunway University Business School in terms of academic and employer reputation as well as research contributions. Business related research in other schools has also contributed to this ranking.”
Established since 2006, Sunway University Business School (SUBS) is a leading business school in the ASEAN region. An education in business that provides students with the fundamentals, theories and processes for a greater understanding of the principles in business. The wide range of programs offered by SUBS across the different level of studies including bachelor degrees in Accounting and Finance, Business Analytics, Business Management, Entrepreneurship, International Business, Global Supply Chain Management, Business Studies, Marketing, Financial Analysis, and Financial Economics; master programs in Business Administration, Marketing and Human Resource Management; and a Ph.D. in Business, of which most programs are validated by Lancaster University, United Kingdom. Upon successful completion of their program, graduates are awarded two scrolls; one from Sunway University and one from Lancaster University.
