Assoc. Prof. Dr. Prayook Srivilai, the President of Mahasarakham University together with Asst. Doc. Theparak Sirithanawuthichai, the Dean of Faculty of Medicine and Mr. Boworn Saensupo, M.D., the Director of Suddhavej Hospital has launched a Medical Biomolecular Laboratory for the COVID-19 at Suddhavej Hospital – Faculty of Medicine, Mahasarakham University.
In the opening ceremony, the Director of Suddhavej Hospital informed that the real-time RT-PCR technique will be available at this Medical Biomolecular Laboratory for the detection of viruses, bacteria, disease at DNA level and RNA level, especially the 2019-nCoV. This is to be ready for the urgent situation, support the medical staff for their works, and prevent Mahasarakham province from dangerous diseases in this COVID-19 crisis. It is hoped that MSU can be one of the supporters to the Mahasarakham community as stated in the University’s motto: “Public Devotion is a Virtue of the Learned.”
