The Faculty of Engineering, Thammasat University, is producing 100 sets of UV Sterilizer and giving away to hospitals that take care of patients with COVID-19.
UV Sterilizer can contain 3-4 face masks and takes 30 minutes to sterilize them. After sterilization, the face masks can be used again for 4-5 times. UV Sterilizer has been tested to kill 100% bacteria that cause Pneumonia and Acute Transverse Myelitis.
The production of 100 sets of UV Sterilizer will be completed in two weeks and will be given to hospitals that are needed and registered for it.
This UV Sterilizer has been tested for disinfection tests from the laboratory of the faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Thammasat University by Asst.Prof.Dr.Patchaya Prempraneerat from the department of Mechanical Engineering, who is the head of the team.
