GISMA Business School expands to the UK with new centre in London

The location has been awarded full BAC accreditation to deliver executive education courses

GISMA Business School has announced the official opening of its first centre outside Germany, with London being the chosen location to expand its international presence.

Opened to deliver a portfolio of bespoke Executive Education Programmes, GISMA Business School London is located within The University of Law Business School campus in Bloomsbury. Close to some of the largest financial institutions, the strategic location will offer many networking opportunities for domestic and international students.

Having received full accreditation by the British Accreditation Council (BAC), GISMA Business School London aims to deliver short executive education to business professionals from around the world. The portfolio will focus on the latest trends currently driving international business, featuring a range or programmes for management, business and finance.

Dr Thorsten Thiel, Managing Director at GISMA Business School, said: “This is a great achievement for GISMA, as an institution that operates internationally and aims to increase the mobility of its students. Not only they will be able to come to London for one of these courses, but those currently studying for our degree programmes in Germany will have the opportunity to spend a semester in the UK capital as part of their course.”

The programmes are from two to five days long, delivered as modular workshops by industry leaders and experienced professionals in London’s unique business environment. GISMA is confident that this setting will attract students and delegates eager to develop themselves within a global environment, as well as benefit businesses looking for employees with the right skills.

With its concept and execution receiving BAC accreditation, GISMA is able to add further value to the programmes available at the London centre. Dr Elisabeth Grindel-Denby, GISMA Global Director Academic Affairs & Head of Campus Berlin, commented: “The BAC quality mark will allow us to expand further, exploring the tremendous partnership opportunities with UK universities and grow our academic portfolio, whilst guaranteeing quality accreditation.”

As a higher education institution well rooted in Germany, GISMA has been working to establish itself as one of the country’s leading international business schools. The opening of the first UK centre takes the institution a step forward in this direction, whilst starting a new phase in its ambitious development outside Germany.
