Thammasat School of Engineering (TSE) has won 7 awards for innovations at the Thailand Research Expo 2020, an event held by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) and National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) at Centara Grand Hotel and Bangkok Convention Center @ Central World.
Mr.Suphakiat Suphasynth and Mr.Chatchawan Kantala, PhD students, were presented with an excellence award trophy and a 10,000-baht prize in the development of artificial intelligence, smart devices, energy, and environment category for their project- a low voltage battery charger with power harvested from the tree which is the first such prototype system in Thailand. The advisor of the project is Prof.Dr. Phadungsak Ratanadecho, their advisor.
Ms.Chanakarn Arunothaisantisakul, Mr.Kraiwit Udomsawangsup, and Mr.Thanathorn Pinpak were presented with the gold medal award for electric wheelchair design and development for children with cerebral palsy and muscle weakness. This project is under Asst. Prof. Dr. Bunyong Rungroungdouyboon, their advisor.
Ms.Piyatida Muangkir, Mr.Methee Yaebyon, Mr.Patthavut Manaphongpan, and Mr. Nithikorn Srisawat, were presented with the gold medal award for an exercising and physical therapy “Sit-to-Stand” machine for the elderly. Asst. Prof. Dr. Bunyong Rungroungdouyboon, TSE, and Dr. Sairag Sa-adprai, Department of Sports Science and Sports Development, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences are the advisors of the project.
Mr.Promsurin Phutthammawong, Ms.Purichaya Angboothorn, and Ms.Patchawan Sridech were presented with the gold medal award for an artificial Intelligence-driven autonomous vehicle for the blind. This project is under Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dulyachot Cholaseuk and Asst.Prof.Dr.Phisan Kaewprapha, their advisors.
Mr.Attakorn Suwananthawong, Mr. Chayangkul Hemakul, and Ms.Sirikanchana Toyawanich were presented with the gold medal award for developing a manual wheelchair with an egg-shaped driving mechanism that aids in reducing fatigue. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dulyachot Cholaseuk is their advisor for this project.
Mr.Chollakarn Manoyen, Ms.Wanwalita Sathchang, Thammasat students, Mr. Sasiroj Thiptiphakorn, and Mr.Takdanai Thadaphirom, students from King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (RMUTT) were presented a silver medal award for the development of arm support device used in physical therapy with the mechanics support system. Mr. Methasith Kiatchaipha, a TSE student, Mr. Phakphoom Chaichana, and Ms. Manthana Kaewsrichai, students from the Faculty of Nursing were presented with a silver medal award for developing a respiratory screening device for newborn baby. Ms. Ladapha Phantien and Ms. Renu Chompikul, Department of Nursing care for high-risk infants, Thammasat Hospital, as well as Asst. Prof. Dr. Bunyong Rungroungdouyboon, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Jak Chuanasa, TSE, are their advisors.
