Mulungushi University won the first prize as the best training service provider at he just ended Zambia International Trade Fair (ZITF) which ended on 4th July 2017. The competition was highly contested and Mulungushi University competed with public and private universities in Zambia. This award is prestigious and is only awarded to a deserving University. In particular sense, Mulungushi University met and exceeded the requirements to be crowned as the best training service provider Zambia and Africa.
At present Mulungushi University is ready to provide quality training to meet international standards of education. The qualification mix of the degree programmes offered is designed in collaboration with the industry and stakeholders. This is done in order to align the degree programmes with the needs of the industry. To improve and maintain quality of degree programmes offered, the study materials and examinations are subjected to a review process which include reviews by external experienced academic and professional stakeholders.
During the trade fair, we exhibited projects that can be industrialized or commercialized. We exhibited an electronic voting system, the poultry management system, Waste Management Project (Plastic Bottle recycling), Biochar Project and Honey Processing Project. All these projects were developed using the knowledge acquired through research, teaching and learning.
