Education and Training Conference to be Held Under Saudi G20 Presidency

Policymakers, researchers and other professionals working in education, training, evaluation, assessment and accreditation from all parts of the world are now able to register for the Saudi International Conference on Education and Training Evaluation. The Conference is being held virtually from October 14 to 15 under the theme, “Improving Learning Outcomes and Supporting Economic Growth”.

The Conference is being delivered by Saudi Arabia’s Education and Training Evaluation Commission (ETEC), in partnership with the G20 Saudi Secretariat. Saudi Arabia is this year’s G20 host, and will accommodate the G20 Leader’s Summit this November. In the lead up to the Summit over 100 meetings and conferences will be held across the Kingdom.

The International Conference on Education and Training Evaluation will be an important feature of the Kingdom’s G20 leadership, aligning closely with the G20 2020 theme, “Realizing Opportunities of the 21st Century for All”.

More than 50 experts, including training specialists and academics, will deliver 21 workshops in the four days leading up to the Conference. The focus of these workshops will be on sharing assessment tools and approaches at an international level, helping education and training institutions around the world improve the skills and performance of their employees.

The Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the Conference, Dr. Niaf Rashid Al-Jabri said; “Participants will learn about Saudi Arabia’s education and training advancements that have improved learning outcomes in the Kingdom, aligning with labor market needs and supporting economic growth. There is the opportunity to learn how such successes can be applied in other countries, and how Saudi Arabia can benefit from the experiences of professionals and institutions across the world”.

The workshops will investigate pertinent topics such as reviewing learning outcomes, quality management, school self-evaluation, data evaluation, psychometric modeling, national qualifications frameworks, private school evaluation, vocational qualification development, large-scale assessments and many other areas of interest to education and training professionals.
