Expanding partnerships with Pakistani HEIs

Recently, Kanwar Adnan Ahmed Khan (pictured right), Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Ukraine, visited the Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute to discuss prospects for expansion of partnerships with Pakistani universities.

Building on many years of educational cooperation and the successful training of Pakistani students, Rector Anatolii Melnychenko and Ambassador Kanwar Adnan Ahmed Khan discussed opportunities to expand partnerships between Kyiv Polytechnic and higher education institutions (HEIs) in Pakistan.

Particular emphasis was placed on the opportunities the university offers international students. There was a lot of discussion about dual-degree programmes with leading universities in France, Germany, and other countries, the international accreditation of academic programmes, university's innovation ecosystem, and scholarship programmes implemented jointly with international companies, including partners from South Korea and Turkey.

The Pakistani party expressed strong interest in deepening cooperation with Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, whose degree programmes are in great demand among Pakistani students. These include software engineering, aerospace engineering, applied mechanics, and other engineering disciplines.

The ambassador’s visit highlighted promising prospects for the further development of Ukrainian–Pakistani cooperation in higher education and the expansion of academic partnerships.
