Unusa Believed by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education to Manage Primary Teacher Professional Education Certification

Nahdlatul Ulama University of Surabaya (Unusa) stepped on the gas in pursuit of A accreditation in 2022. This commitment was followed by all faculty study programs that continued to improve the quality of education. The exception was the Teacher Training and Education Faculty (FKSD) Primary School Education Study Program (FKIP) Unusa, which did not stop developing learning innovations.

As a result, the PGSD FKIP Unusa Study Program was trusted by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenristekdikti) to manage the Primary Teacher Professional Education (PPG) certification program in this year’s position. No half-hearted PGSD Study Program FKIP Unusa is trusted to teach five classes of PGG PPG certification programs in positions.

“Initially only given two classes. But because of the good infrastructure and facilities, and our agencies were considered working seriously in carrying out the teaching and learning process, then we were given an additional three classes, “said Dean of FKIP Unusa Dr. Muhammad Thamrin.

The PPG certification program took place January-December 2018, with 164 students participating. The majority of participants in the PPG certification program were teachers in the East Java region.

FKIP’s PGSD innovation in supporting the acceleration of Unusa’s 6-year-old acceleration was also seen in a series of achievements made by lecturers and students.

Two PGSD lecturers, R Mustofa and Akhwani, received Kemenristekdikti grants for innovative Pancasila Education learning programs. Both of them became winners after successfully eliminating 17 other universities.

Two research beginner lecturers (PDP) PGSD received an Innovation grant from Australia about mathematics (numerics), namely a learning model supplemented by literacy. In addition, two PGSD students also succeeded in receiving PKM grants from the Kemenristekdikti 2019. Namely, Fitriani Rafika Sari and Ulvi Nur Laily.
