    Universitas Airlangga Teaching Hospital Wins at Asian Hospital Management Awards 2018

    Universitas Airlangga Teaching Hospital (RS UNAIR) has won some awards in Asian Hospital Management Awards (AHMA) 2018. It is a prestigious ceremony which recognises and honours hospitals in Asia Pacific. This year, for its 17th year of organization was held in Bangkok, Thailand on September 13-14, 2018. There are 13 award categories including the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’

    Director of RSUA Prof. Dr. Nasronudin, Sp.PD., KPTI-FINASIM., said that UNAIR Teaching Hospital won Excellence Award in two categories, Hospital CEO of the Year, Innovations in Hospital Management Project. The delegates of UNAIR also won for Best Outfits. Out of seven winners for Best Outfits in Awards Night and Gala Dinner, four of them were from UNAIR Teaching Hospital.

    Prof. Nasron explained that the event was a good effort to advance together in line with the rapid technological development. The industrial revolution 4.0 and digital era is here, so hospital management and performance must follow this development.

    UNAIR Teaching Hospital in the event competed with other Asian hospitals. Most of them have applied Artificial Intelligence, robot technology, Internet, Nano and Biotechnology.

    “In the awards night, UNAIR Teaching Hospital made achievements despite the tight competition. We could win in three categories even though it is our first participation,” Prof. Nasron said.

    The event was attended by at least 1200 participants from 10 countries. Prof. Nasron elaborated that 614 of them competed for Asian Hospital Management Awards. There were 40 participants selected for the awards night ceremony.

    “We’re grateful, even though UNAIR Teaching Hospital is still new, we are acknowledged at regional level,” he said.

    Prof. Nasron said that UNAIR Hospital will continue to make improvements towards Smart Hospital, a hospital with sophisticated innovation and technology. “However, we will maintain our sides of humanity, human touch and religious value,” he stated.
