Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia students excelled in the recent Creative Content Master Award (CCMA) 2019 competition by walking away with the Main Prize (Overall) on 19 September 2019. It was very overwhelming news for both the Faculty of Art and Design and its students as they also won 4 prizes in 3 other categories namely Film & Animation, Interactive Media and Poster Design. Besides that, they also won the “Most Like Animation’ and “Most Like Interactive Media’ categories.
This year’s theme was rather very society-centred which read as ‘A’ Content: ‘A’ Society. The competition provided a venue for participants to express their abilities of creative works in communicating their positive message which gave an impact to the society through different media and art form. The entries were very creative as they needed creative content that emphasizes on good ethics and moral values.
CCMA is a global competition organised by the Ministry of Education, Malaysia, Prestariang and Adobe. CCMA is open to all higher institutions, colleges, and polytechnics, which are recognized by the Ministry of Education (MOE). CCMA provides a platform for art and design students to showcase their creativity skills especially in using Adobe Software. Some of the winning entries open up various opportunities for the students including job opportunities in various industries. Besides, competitions like these encourage social engagement by emphasising on creativity.
