    TU Researcher Team Won 19 Awards from SIIF 2019 at Seoul, South Korea

    Researcher team from Thammasat University achieved 19 world class awards from “Seoul International Invention Fair 2019” (SIIF 2019). The event was held on 27-30 November 2020 at Seoul, South Korea.

    Assoc. Prof. Gasinee Witoonchart, President of Thammasat University, reveals that Thammasat University and National Research Council of Thailand took researchers to participate in “Seoul International Invention Fair 2019”. There were inventors from more than 30 countries presenting more than 600 invention. Invention from Thammasat team won 19 awards, including 9 Gold Prizes, 2 Silver Medals, 5 Bronze Medals, and 3 Special Prizes. Numerous awards that we received show invention potential and capability of TU reserchers. The invention help slove social problem. Agricultural invention helps farmers enhance their income and add more value to their products. Creating research work and invention to international standard is one of TU’s strategies to strengthen its academic. Innovation and invention that have been awarded this year are

    Gold Medal

    • Lobster-Xanthin, high protein low sodium by Prof.Dr. Sutheera Wattanakul, Faculty of Science and Technology and others.
    • Climbing Wattle Waffle with okra jam filling by Assoc.Prof.Dr.Prapasri Thepraksa, Faculty of Science and Technology and others.
    • Pallet Recycling Station by Prof.Dr. Winyu Arjraksa, Asst.Prof.Dr. Julawadee Santhad, Faculty of Architecture and Planning and others.
    • Fresh Served Technology: Smart export fresh mature durian technology around the world by Assc.Prof.Dr. Worapat Lakkanatinnawong, Faculty of Science and Technology and others.
    • Ethylene Gas (EG) – Fresh Sense by Asst.Prof.Dr. Chirawut Petchyen, Faculty of Science and Technology and others.
    • Flex-Pack by Asst.Prof.Dr. Chirawut Petchyen, Faculty of Science and Technology and others.
    • Cool to Touch by Asst.Prof.Dr. Chirawut Petchyen, Faculty of Science and Technology and others. This invention also won a special award from the Patent Office of Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf.
    • A-B block by Asst.Prof.Dr. Benya Cherdhirankorn, Faculty of Science and Technology and others.
    • CPP Guide Line by Prof. Karan Pongpanitch, by Faculty of Allied Health Sciences and others.

    Silver Medal

    • MicroPlantguard by Asst.Prof.Dr. Dusit Athinuwat, Faculty of Science and Technology and others.
    • Analysis Oxygen Saturation and Welding Device by Asst.Prof.Dr.Kornanong Yuentongchaiwat, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences and others.

    Bronze Medal

    • Creamy Durian & Sticky Rice Crunch Bar by Asst.Prof.Dr. Dusit Athinuwat, Faculty of Science and Technology and others. This invention also won a special prize from Vietnam.
    • Exercising and Strengthening Quadricep Machine for stroke patients by Asst.Prof.Dr. Patcharee Kunkamchoo, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences and others. This invention also won a special prize from Malaysia.
    • Crackless tech ; Ripening delayed and reduced Cracking of nature durian by Coating Technology to export by Assc.Prof.Dr. Worapat Lakkanatinnawong, Faculty of Science and Technology and others.
    • Crack Me Healthy Vegan Riceberry Cracker by Prof.Dr. Sutheera Wattanakul, Faculty of Science and Technology and others.
    • Vegetaron Cube (Low GI, High Vitamins and Minerals), No added sugar Soybean Macaron by Prof.Dr. Krittiya Kouenpetch, Faculty of Science and Technology and others.

    The researcher team successfully won 19 awards and brought Thammasat and Thailand a good reputation in the international competition. TU’s researchers will get recognize in terms of their innovative, academic, and creative ideas. Thammasat will develop research work and innovation for the good of Thai people in the long run.  Assoc. Prof. Gasinee said.
