On June 26th, 2019, Thailand Science Research and Innovation (TSRI), previously known as Thailand Research Fund (TRF), held an annual outstanding research 2018 event at the InterContinental Bangkok. The event was aimed to honor researchers for their research quality, which created a positive impact for society, economy, and environment. The awards were given to the research funded in 2018 and were presented by Dr. Krissanapong Kirtikara, Chairman of the Research Fund Policy Committee. The awarded research are those that proved to drastically push the frontier in their research fields or those that made a great social impact in 5 areas, including, policy, public, commercial, community, and academic.
This year, the research entitled ‘The restoration of heritage structures for sustainable preservation’ was awarded as one of the 2018 Annual Outstanding Research TRF award. The research was conducted by the faculty members from the Civil Engineering Department of Thammasat School of Engineering. The awarded researchers are Asst. Prof. Dr. Naret Limsamphancharoen, Asst Prof Dr. Krisada Chaiyasarn, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nakhorn Poovarodom, the principal investigator.
