This prestigious conference for English language faculty takes place every year and the TESOL Arabia committee welcomes invited speakers from different parts of the world. The 2017 conference from the 9th until the 11th of March was an erudite and opulent event with international guests, plenary and concurrent speakers as well as exhibitors who interacted at the Ritz Carlton, located in the Dubai International Financial Centre.
The conference was remarkable in its intensity with 500 presentations taking place within a span of three days. Topics ranged from Applied linguistics to Educational Technology as well as Critical thinking and Leadership. In addition, there was a symposium on Reading and Research. English language faculty from Al Ghurair University, Dubai participated in this event and two of them presented research papers of significant impact.
