Assoc. Prof. Gasinee Witoonchart, President of Thammasat University, Mr. Assada Thepyot, President of Quality Plus Aesthetic International Co.,Ltd. and Board of Directors signed an agreement on using research work about Nanoemulsion in alpha mangosteen skin. This agreement is a crucial step for enhancing and developing cosmetic industry in Thailand as we can develop natural extract from agriculture product. The ceremony is held on 7 November 2019 at Pridi Banomyong convention room, Thammasat University, Rangsit Campus.
The cooperation between Thammasat University and Quality Plus Aesthetic International Co.,Ltd. is about turning academic research into commercial industry. It is seen as a success of turning agriculture product by biological technology to commercial purpose. The research work, Nanoemulsion in alpha mangosteen skin, is the development of Purified Xanthone innovation which is awarded in Silicon Valley International Invention Festival 2018, California, USA under Acnoc Brand.
After Purified Xanthone was awarded in 2018, Quality Plus Aesthetic International Co.,Ltd. works with Thammasat University in developing this extract using nano emulsion technology. The product of this development is Acnoc All Hybrid Essence under Acnoc Brand. Acnoc All Hybrid Essence product is a prototype for developing product from Thai research work in terms of commercial. Therefore, this product is considered as a product from research work from 2 Thai institutions. Extraction of mangosteen by pure compound technology is a research work from agriculture and agro-industry, Kasetsart University. Product of this extraction is called Purified Xanthone.
Later, it is developed using Nanoemulsion technology from Thammasat University. The product from this technology is called Purified Xanthone Nano Emulsion. Purified Xanthone Nano Emulsion can prevent acne-cuasin bacteria, reduce inflammation and skin irritaion, inhibit Tyrosinase and oxidation. Nanoemulsion allows Purified Xanthone act more effectively.
The signing ceremony is a big step in advancing and developing Thai’s cosmetic industry. As we successfully extract agriculture product to reach international standard, we add value to farm products by using knowledge and technology. It also reduces import and increases export of this extract to international cosmetic markets.
