    Taiwanese hospital establishes partnership with FK UNAIR

    UNIVERSITAS AIRLANGGA NEWS – Rector of Universitas Airlangga and other leadership received a visit from the National Taiwan University Hospital (NTUH) of Yunlin Branch Taiwan on Tuesday, July 9. The visit was made to discuss further cooperation that would be conducted with Faculty of Medicine UNAIR. The second meeting was held in the Rector’s Office Room, UNAIR Management Office.

    UNAIR Rector Prof. Moh Nasih said that cooperation between Universitas Airlangga Hospital (RSUA) and NTUH had been running since 2018. Now, the university encourages a follow up cooperation with the health faculties in UNAIR.

    “Now we want to encourage the faculties to have even more cooperation. The doctors have done it, next are the students and staff. Double degree as well, “explained Prof. Nasih.

    Today, in NTUH’s visit to the Rector, there were 12 NTUH delegates attending to provide a workshop at the Infectious Disease Hospital (RSKI) of UNAIR. The topics discussed in the workshop range from acute stroke care, gynecological emergencies, nursing, and hepatology.

    Professor of College of Medicine Department of Internal Medicine National Taiwan University Hwang, Juey-Jen, MD, Ph.D. said that he wanted to establish cooperation in the scientific field with UNAIR, such as in the field of hepatology, obstetrics, emergency services, and detoxification centers.

    “We hope to work together with UNAIR and establish good relations, now and in the future,” he explained.

    Previously, the cooperation between UNAIR and NTU has already been underway. Since 2018, the collaboration has developed with a visit conducted by NTUH to RSUA in July 2018. The initial visit discussed cooperation plans in the health and hospital fields.

    Furthermore, on November 15, 2018, RSUA with NTUH signed a memorandum of understanding. At that time, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Prof. Nasronuddin as Director of the RSUA. UNAIR Rector also visited NTUH Yunlin to attend the 90th NTU Anniversary.

    Besides NTU, in the near future UNAIR will also collaborate with universities and other institutions in various countries, such as universities in Hong Kong, Turkey, the Middle East region, and also Eastern Europe. All of these collaborations are in the field of Higher Education Tri Dharma:education, research, and community service. (*)
