President University continues to strive to improve the quality of its graduates by establishing a partnership with PT. Kawasan Industri Kendal. This partnership was established by the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) by the Rector of President University Prof. Dr. Jony Oktavian Haryanto and Director of PT. Kawasan Industri Kendal Didik Purbadi, S.Si., MBA., held on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at the Kendal Industrial Park’s One-Stop Service Office, Central Java.
Prof. Jony said this partnership was made to develop the education quality at President University and prepare graduates to be ready to work after graduation. “Not only are they ready to be inaugurated as graduates, but they also have to be ready to work after graduation later. To reach this goal, collaboration with the industry is needed in terms of internships. Not only students but also lecturers will do the internship at the industry,” he explained.
He also said that this partnership includes the use of factories in the Kendal Industrial area as a living laboratory, a laboratory that is run by industry with the latest machinery. Furthermore, Prof. Jony also mentioned the exchange of knowledge not only students and lecturers who learn from industry, but knowledge and research from universities can be used by industry to develop business and production.
