On 15th March 2019, a seminar entitled Personal Development: Building Humanitarian Leadership Capability was held at Faculty of Business and Management (FBM), Universiti Teknologi MARA, Puncak Alam.
The program began with a sharing session from Dr. Mohd Tahir Abdul Rahman, Board of Trustees Member of Humanitarian Care Malaysia (MyCare) on Building Humanitarian with Leadership Capabilities and five-characteristics to be a good leader. He also shared his experiences on MyCare humanitarian work in Syria, Myanmar, Yaman, Kashmir and Palestine.
The session continued with Mr. Syed Azmi Alhabshi, a Social Activist. He focused on the needs to know what needs to be done, bravery in sharing one’s ideas, and the importance of empathy. He also shared his unconventional method of helping people and his ideas for the betterment of the environment.
The faculty would like to record their heartfelt gratitude to both speakers, Dr Mohd Tahir Abdul Rahman and Mr. Syed Azmi Alhabshi for their time and support in making this seminar possible.
The seminar was organized by students from the BBA (Hons) Human Resource Management, BBA (Hons.) Marketing, BBA (Hons.) Transport for their personal development course.
