A group of students and faculty from Al Ghurair University, Dubai attended an event entitled “Project Space” held at the World Trade Centre, Dubai. This event was organized by the Mohammad Bin Rashid Space Centre on the 24th and 25th of January 2017. Undergraduate students from various colleges at Al Ghurair University participated in a series of workshops and seminars titled “How could the UAE get to Mars?”, “Women in Space: Panel Discussion” and other exciting topics. Most of these workshops focused on scientific research, scintillating discoveries and the benefits of space travel. Students had an opportunity to interact with experts and ask questions. It was a very interesting experience for students as they had an enlightening discussion with astronaut Abigail Harrison, leader of the Mars generation crew.
