NTU takes the lead in QS Asia University Rankings

Nanyang Technological University (NTU) has been placed in the leading position of the QS Asia University Rankings, ahead of 400 universities in Asia; while National University of Singapore fell to the second place.

It is yet another impressive achievement by NTU following its attainment of the 11th place in the QS World University Rankings earlier this year.

NTU’s achievement can be attributed to its improvement in scores for papers per faculty and student-faculty ratio. In addition, for the second subsequent year, NTU has garnered the region’s best performer for citations per paper, measuring the impact and quality of scientific work done by university.

Ben Sowter, Research Director of QS, shared that “While the methodology of the Asia Rankings differs from the one of the World University Rankings, Nanyang Technological University is the top-performing Asian University in both lists, according to our metrics. NTU has improved its standing in the academic and employer reputation indicators, as well as in the ‘international faculty’ metric.”
