    MAI won the Aircraft Builder of the Year Сontest

    At the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS-2019  in Russia, the awarding ceremony for the winners of the “Aircraft Builder of the Year” contest was held. The event was held at the Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute named after prof. N.E. Zhukovsky (TsAGI).

    Moscow Aviation Institute (National Research University) won the nomination “For Training a New Generation of Specialists in the Aircraft Building Industry among Universities” for implementing a comprehensive program for the continuous training of highly qualified personnel in the interests of Rostec State Corporation. MAI Rector Mikhail Pogosyan received the solemn award from the hands of Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov.

    In addition to the high appreciation of MAI achievements in training personnel, leading industry experts also evaluated the university achievements in the field of innovative developments: in the nomination “For Success in Creating Systems and Assemblies for the Aircraft Industry”, MAI was recognized as a diploma winner with the project “Development of Accident-Proof Fuel System Assemblies for Helicopter Technology.” The award was given to Denis Smagin, Head of MAI Laboratory of Research Department “Aircraft Design” and to Sergey Grachev, Deputy Director of MAI Directorate of Advanced Scientific Programs.
