Innovation is fundamental to the social and economic development, and competitiveness of the organisations in the Middle East, future of UAE and global economy. It is also the key to the provision of new job opportunities.
Government initiatives such as the UAE Vision 2021 and National Innovation Strategy, Dubai Integrated Energy Strategy 2030 and 10X demonstrate UAE’s leaders belief in innovation and the detailed planning carried out to successfully turn UAE to a knowledge-based economy.
UAE Vision 2021 is an initiative carried based on the ideology that “Innovation, research, science and technology will form the pillars of a knowledge-based, highly productive and competitive economy, driven by entrepreneurs in a business-friendly environment where public and private sectors form effective partnerships”; and the Dubai Science Park was inaugurated to empower the vision. The park is home to some 350 regional and international companies in the life sciences, energy and environment sectors that are responsible for bringing technology advancement to greater height.
