Chula Student Wins at AUA Postgraduate Forum

Chulalongkorn University offers its congratulations to graduate students from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science, Chulalongkorn University, on receiving awards at the “2025 AUA Postgraduate Academic Forum” on AI & Bioinformatics in the Study of Aging & Age-related Disease. The Forum was organized by Chulalongkorn University’s Office of International Affairs and Global Network and Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science, in collaboration with the Asian Universities Alliance (AUA), and was held on May 14-16, 2026, at the Maha Chulalongkorn Building, Chulalongkorn University.  

 

Ms. Montsilpa Sangsawas, an alumna and a doctoral student in the Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology program, received the 2nd runner-up award in the Oral Presentation category for presenting “ML-QSAR-Assisted Prioritization of Small-Molecule PD-L1 Inhibitor Candidates for Cancer Immunotherapy.” 

Asst. Prof. Dr. Worathat Thitikornpong served as her supervisor, with Prof. Dr. Pornchai Rojsitthisak of the Department of Food and Pharmaceutical Chemistry serving as co-supervisor. 


Mr. Adisorn Sirichotjirakul, an alumnus (Class of 81) and a master’s student in the Master of Science Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology, received the Best Poster Presentation Award for his research, “Integrated Virtual Screening of Natural Product-Like A2A Receptor Antagonist Candidates for Parkinson’s Disease.”


His research was conducted under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Worathat Thitikornpong, with Prof. Dr. Pornchai Rojsitthisak of the Department of Food and Pharmaceutical Chemistry serving as co-advisor.

The award was presented at an international conference dedicated to advancing academic and research collaboration in the fields of aging biology and age-related diseases through the application of artificial intelligence (AI) and bioinformatics. The conference featured 10 oral presentations and 17 poster presentations by researchers from leading member institutions of the Asian Universities Alliance (AUA), including National University of Singapore (NUS), Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), Seoul National University (SNU), Universiti Malaya (UM), Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay), Universitas Indonesia (UI), and United Arab Emirates University (UAEU).
