Dr. Hamoud Dekkiche, Associate Professor and Chair of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering & Architecture has been awarded the highest degree of recognition from the Middle East Education Leadership Awards, part of the World Sustainability Congress.
These highly recognized awards are presented to individuals and institutions who have surpassed several levels of excellence by being highly respectable role models and who have demonstrated exemplary leadership. The awards also recognize individuals who have consistently contributed to the process of building institutions through leadership, innovation, academic and industry interface while maintaining the supreme objective of building future leaders.
In conferring the award, Dr. R. L. Bhatia, Founder of the World Sustainability Congress stated he was pleased to confer the Award for “BEST PROFESSOR IN ARCHITECTURE” to Dr. Dekkiche as it underscored his commitment to excellence in the application of leadership principles to business situations.
Dr. Hamoud was chosen as someone who consistently made a difference to the lives of his students and for the quality of his work, his outlook towards longevity in teaching and ability to contribute to the values of social change.
On receipt of this award Dr. Hamoud said that it gave him great pride as he always strives to ensure excellence. It was also a great award placing CUD and in particular the Department of Architecture at a distinguished level of excellence within academia.
Granting these awards is an intense process of examination undertaken by a research panel which consists of post graduates in history & management with over 5 years in research experience. It is the role of the research panel to produce a shortlist of individuals who are doing extraordinary work and can demonstrate an authenticated track record of their achievements. The shortlist is then reviewed by a jury comprising senior professionals from across the globe.
