    Award for women pioneers in health sciences research at PNU

    Princess Nourah bint Abdul Rahman University, represented by King Abdullah University’s Health Sciences Research Center, has announced the “Women Pioneers in Health Sciences Research Award” for the second consecutive year. The award aims to support the scientific research, encourage women researchers in the field of health research and develop the medical studies in order to achieve the national objectives.

    The award includes three levels:

    1. Level one:

    • Research field: women’s health
    • Researchers are: female faculty members, women health professionals at universities, research centers, government and private hospitals in Saudi Arabia and Arab League Countries.

    2. Level two:

    • Research field: children’s, adolescent and women’s health
    • Researchers are: Postgraduate students (PhD, MA, high diploma) in Saudi Arabia.

    3. Level three:

    • Research field: children’s, adolescent and women’s health
    • Researchers are: Universities and Diploma students in Saudi Arabia.

    The award was presided by Dr. Huda AlAmeel, the Rector of Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, in support to the research movement and the translation of the National Strategy for Scientific Research in Saudi Arabia, which aims at achieving research expansion and excellence as well as creating a stimulating research environment. This award aims to spread the spirit of competitiveness among researchers in Saudi Arabia and motivate them to provide specialized research that seeks to achieve total quality and sustainable development in the research sector. The most important of which are medical research and development of health services in addition to supporting medical education programs and raising awareness of critical and rare diseases.
