    A professor from JUST receives the L’ORÉAL UNESCO FOR WOMEN IN SCIENCE LEVANT FELLOWSHIPS 2018

    An associate professor and scientist, Dr. Hanan Khalil, has won the L’Oréal-UNESCO fellowship based on her project on the association between magnesium levels and mental and body well-being in community- dwelling adults and people with neurodegenerative disease. Dr. Khalil is an associate professor in neurological rehabilitation and neurosciences in the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences, Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences at Jordan University of Science and Technology, Jordan.

    The L’Oréal-UNESCO for Women in Science initiative is a collaborative initiative between L’Oréal Foundation and UNESCO (the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) aims to recognize and support highly accomplished women researchers. The main aim of this initiative is to encourage more young women to enter the profession and to assist them once their careers are in progress.  This year, 6 fellows have received the L’Oréal-UNESCO fellowship on October 10th at the Ecole Supérieure des Affaires, Beirut
