    GIK Society Project Topi and Red Crescent organize blood donation camp

    Project Topi is known welfare society established by students of Ghulam Ishaq Khan (GIK) Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology organized a one-day blood donation camp at the campus with the help of Red Crescent for donation to needy people. The camp was very successful as Red Crescent collected 206 bottles of blood in the camp. A large number of donors from within the Institute and adjoining areas of Topi participated wholeheartedly in the camp.

    Project Topi regularly organizes blood donation camp throughout the academic year with the assistance of renowned Pakistani organizations like Red Crescent and Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (SKMCH&RC) for the benefit of the public. Owing to its tremendous contributions, the services of Project Topi were recently acknowledged by Red Crescent on the World Blood Donor Day as one of the top donor bodies in Pakistan.

    Rector of GIK Institute, Mr. Jehangir Bashar appreciated the services of the society and emphasized that blood donation is a very generous act of the blood donors. The blood collected by Project Topi in the donation camp helped in saving many precious lives. GIK Institute recognized the effort made by outstanding services of members of the society, Red Crescent and SKMCH&RC in the Topi area, as it is engaged in welfare activities.

    Maria Gulzar, President Project Topi also highlighted contribution of society is to humanity. The members of the society are very active and works with close coordination of all concerned and is fully motivated. Project Topi hopes that it would continue its work for all possible contribution to the humanity.
