United Arab Emirates – Undergraduate students need to be given an avenue to interact with professionals from industry. This is necessary to foster their communication skills. Furthermore, this conversational process contributes to the fact that students emerge as well-rounded humans, capable of logical thinking in real world workplace situations.
Therefore, during the winter semester 2017, students from Al Ghurair University, Dubai were taken on an industrial engagement trip to the British Council, Dubai. Students enrolled on a general education course Communication Skills participated in a workshop session.
The entire experience of professional interaction was facilitated by Ms Sunayana Manoj, the faculty who accompanied these undergraduate students. The focus was on communication and technology. Undergraduate students truly appreciated this opportunity as it enabled them to develop their conversational skills.
