Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) and Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Malaysia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cooperating closely for a world-class education.
Being held via Zoom on Wednesday, December 23, the MoU was attended by the leadership of both institutions.
From UNAIR, Prof. Nasih as Rector presided the MoU session. In his remarks, Prof. Nasih said that improving the quality of world-class education requires a lot of things and efforts.
“To support a world-class standard education, UNAIR continues to improve its quality, from curriculum standardization to world-class education and research systems, ” he said.
“Furthermore, in improving global recognition, good cooperation between universities and other parties is also needed, such as from the government to various agencies based within and outside the country.”
“Like what we are doing, this is part of a way to strengthen the role and steps towards a world-class university,” said Prof. Nasih.
Prof. Nasih also mentioned the ongoing partnerships between UNAIR and UiTM. “So far, many UNAIR students have studied at UiTM, and vice versa. In addition, UNAIR and UiTM are also working together in the field of collaborative research and organizing international conferences,” he added.
“I am sure, if this good cooperation can be carried out well in the future, it certainly will bring tremendous benefits and impacts,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, from the UiTM representative, Syamsudin Mudzamil also welcomed and appreciated the implementation of the MoU from both parties.
