    UiTM KEDAH BRANCH EXTENDED CHARITABLE HANDS TO HELP THE UNDERPRIVILIGED STUDENTS IN KAMPUNG BUJANG, MERBOK, MALAYSIA

    Special Interest Group Public Interest Centre of Excellence (SIG PICE), a group consisting of multi-disciplined lecturers from UiTM Kedah Branch, Malaysia, which is chaired by Professor Dr Maznah Wan Omar, hosted a charitable event at Sekolah Kebangsaan Sultan Mudzaffar Shah, Kg. Bujang, a small village in Merbok, Kedah, Malaysia on 30 December 2019. This programme which was headed by Puan Syakirah Mohammed witnessed a three-sided collaboration between UiTM Kedah Branch, Sekolah Kebangsaan Sultan Mudzaffar Shah and  My-Sutera Sdn Bhd, a company specialising in school uniforms. Twelve members of SIG PICE worked together for this programme to help 20 students from the primary school to begin their schooling in 2020. The event started with a welcoming speech by the Headmaster of the school, Encik Ismail bin Jemaludin who thanked UiTM Kedah Branch profusely and who hoped that such collaboration could be extended to more students and for other occasions too such as Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration. Professor Dr. Maznah Wan Omar also gave a speech thanking everyone involved especially the school and the company, with a special thank you to Puan Nawal Aeida Asarudin, the executive director of My-Sutera Sdn Bhd for helping to make this programme a reality. The event ended after giving away 20 sets of bags containing school uniforms, school bags and stationeries to the students.
