The Faculty of Accountancy at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia, continues to reinforce its position in developing globally competitive accounting professionals, as a total of 35 students successfully passed the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) Strategic Case Study Examination across multiple programmes.
In the November 2025 and February 2026 sittings, 22 students from the Master in Strategic Management Accounting (MSMA-CIMA) programme and 13 students from the Bachelor in Accounting (Hons) programme achieved success in the examination. This marking a significant academic and professional milestone.
The Strategic Case Study Examination represents the final and most advanced level of the CIMA qualification, designed to assess candidates’ ability to integrate strategic analysis, risk management, and leadership decision-making in complex, real-world business environments. Success at this level demonstrates readiness to operate at senior strategic roles within global organisations.
This achievement reflects UiTM’s integrated approach to professional education, embedding internationally recognised certifications within both undergraduate and postgraduate pathways. Such alignment ensures that graduates are equipped not only with academic knowledge, but also with relevant industry competencies that meet global professional standards.
