Faculty of Economy and Business Universitas Indonesia (FEB UI) has run UI’s missions in creating climate of excellent which supports the achievement of the university’s vision by receiving international accreditation and offering the first and only specilization on MM Aviation in Indonesia.
Postgraduate Management Program (MM) FEB UI as per February 14th, 2019 has accredited formally by Association of MBA’s Accredited (AMBA). The news was officially delivered by Katherine O’Flynn as the Director of Accreditation to FEB UI. MM FEB UI itself has going through the accreditation review process from 2016 to 2018. AMBA is prestigious accreditation association of postgraduate management education in the world which has established since 1967 in England.
The accreditation was achieved based on AMBA assessor team visitation on November 2018. The team received positive feedbacks and appreciated significant issues from MM FEB UI such as global contribution of FEB UI based on its institution history, significant role of its alumni in the community, excellent alumni network, active participation in international networks, and good quality of faculty members and students through rigorous admission selection process. Based on the assessment, MM FEB UI was feasible to receive AMBA accreditation for the next three years period.
Another global standard acknowledgment of FEB UI’s academic quality is demonstrated by offering Joint MM MBA Aviation in Indonesia which collaborated with one of British prominent university, Coventry University. Looking through the massive and progressive development of Indonesian airline industry, the growth of airline industry obviously accompany by the growth of issues and problems in the internal airline management itself. Therefore, MM-FEB UI has inaugurated a specialization called Joint MM-MBA Airline Industry Management or MM Aviation and signed agreement on Friday, March 22nd 2019 at the British Embassy Jakarta. The event was attended by the British Ambassador for Indonesia, ASEAN and Timor Leste, H.E. Moazzam Malik and the Dean of FEB UI Prof. Ari Kuncoro, S.E., M.A., Ph.D dan Associate Head of School – Commercial & Enterprise, School of Mechanical, Aerospace & Auto Engineering, Coventry University Jenni Fernando.
Joint MM MBA Aviation FEB UI is the only and first program in Indonesia. It has received national accreditation A and international accreditation The Alliance on Business Education and Scholarship for Tomorrow (ABEST21). The registration of the first batch of MM aviation was conducted by SIMAK UI (UI Admission Selection) which will open on June 2019 at penerimaan.ui.ac.id website. The students will be supplied with crucial elements in managing company in airline industry and also learn aviation management component such as airline services, human resources and organization structure, finance, security, technology, inventory and others. By cooperating with Coventry University, MM FEB UI students will receive teaching program by lectures from FEB UI and Coventry University.
MM FEB UI has a vision to educate responsible leaders ethically, socially and competitive globally in order to contribute to the improvement of business and management practice. It is expected that by opening the MM MBA Aviation specialization, the graduates can provide the market needs of leaders in airline industry who credible and has global competitiveness.
