Today, employability is the top priority for prospective students looking to pursue higher education. They are well aware of both the financial and secular investment being made. Therefore, there is now a rising demand for the data on return of investment; and institutions are pushed to furnish substantial outcomes data, according to the 2017 Online Education Trends.
Until now, there is the impression that unparalleled method to achieve high-quality employment after graduation is to attend a top-tier institution. As such, the 2018 QS Graduate Employability Rankings attempts to meet this demand. The rankings allow students to examine the partnerships between 500 different universities with the industry, number of highly-successful alumni they produce and the number of opportunities that students have to meet potential employers on campus.
Rankings help to increase employment opportunities among graduates as pushes universities to be:

Currently, Stanford University, is the only institution of the 600 evaluated this year to receive the QS benchmark score for the “partnerships with employers” metric. Proactivity, not perception, is the element that sets top tier universities apart from their equivalent.
The alumni outcomes indicator in the ranking system is used to assess the educational profiles of 31,000 distinguished alumni and pinpoint universities responsible for the highest number of field-leading luminaries.
Through the 2018 QS Graduate Employability Rankings, prospective students will be able to observe that none of the sixteen nations represented in the top 50, including those from Chile, Netherlands, Italy and Germany, are featured in the top 50 of the QS World University Rankings. For instance, China having five universities being represented in the top 50, is better represented than Australia and Canada – is a result of an education system focused on career outcomes.
