A research team led by Professor Kim Wan-wook at The Catholic University of Korea (CUK) has transferred a new drug technology for refractory autoimmune diseases to Celltrion.
The technology uses a monoclonal antibody targeting a specific growth factor and showed therapeutic effects in animal models including rheumatoid arthritis and multiple sclerosis.
CUK supported the commercialization process through patent strategy, technology valuation and industry collaboration.
