Bakrie Uni’s MoU with Taiwanese Universities

Bakrie University has taken another step toward internationalization by signing Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with five prominent universities in Taiwan: Kainan University, Tatung University, National Changhua University of Education (NCUE), Soochow University, and National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU). Bakrie University was represented by Ir. Iwan Adhicandra, Ph.D., SMIEEE, Head of the Informatics Study Program, as the official delegate.


The signing ceremony was part of APTIKOM Goes to Taiwan 2025, a flagship program of the Indonesia's Association of Higher Education in Informatics and Computers (APTIKOM) designed to expand international collaboration networks, strengthen higher education quality, and promote research partnerships and technological advancements in the Asia region.


Key Areas of Collaboration


Kainan University

The MoU with Kainan University outlines cooperation in student and faculty exchanges, joint research, dual-degree programs, and internship opportunities. The agreement emphasizes equality and mutual respect between the institutions.


Tatung University

The collaboration with Tatung University focuses on the exchange of academic resources, participation in conferences, and joint research initiatives, with regular evaluations planned to ensure the programs’ success.


National Changhua University of Education (NCUE)

This MoU emphasizes academic and research development, including student and faculty exchanges and hosting international seminars.


Soochow University

The partnership with Soochow University, through Bakrie University’s Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science, focuses on joint research projects, faculty and student mobility programs, and collaborative educational initiatives.


National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU)

As part of the visit, NTNU has been identified as a strategic partner to develop international research networks and share best practices in higher education management.


About APTIKOM Goes to Taiwan 2025


Held from September 8–12, 2025, the program was organized by APTIKOM Central Board and included visits to Taiwan’s top universities and industry sites in Changhua. The initiative aims to strengthen global networks, gain insights into best practices in higher education management, and build professional partnerships while promoting international research collaboration.
