A Partnership between AJCUI and ACCA in Facing Globalization

On Tuesday, 22th October 2019, the ACCA Days 2019 was held at Campus 1 Semanggi. It was a collaborative event between the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) of Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia (AJCUI) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). The event was held to educate students regarding professional education in finance, specifically in the accounting field.

The event was started with a signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) by the Dean of FEB, Dr. Irenius Dwinanto Bimo, S. E., M. Si. and the Head of Department of Master in Accounting, Dr. Christina Yuliana, CPMA from AJCUI side and Conny Siahaan, the Country Heads of ACCA, from ACCA side.

The MoU signing is expected to be the bridge for undergraduate and postgraduate students to pursue a non-academic degree in accounting and finance. The signing was then followed with a presentation from Conny Siahaan. In her performance, she introduced some excellent job prospects for people possessing a non-academic degree in the accounting and finance fields.

This collaboration with ACCA expects that AJCUI can produce students with higher professional skills in finance and accounting. “Through this event, we hope to provide knowledge for students from the accounting department to get a non-academic degree so that they have the additional skill to compete in the global era,” said Dr. Christina Yuliana, CPMA.
