The Inha With-I Youth Career Support Center recently hosted the “2026 Incheon Future Industry-Linked Glocal Leadership Academic Presentation Conference,” with 95 high school students from Incheon participating.
Now in its fourth year, “Incheon Future Industry-Linked Glocal Leadership” is a career exploration program in future industries operated in cooperation with high school clubs in Incheon. It aims to nurture talent with a global perspective grounded in an understanding of local industries.
Over five months beginning in April, participating students undertook theoretical study and practical training linked to university majors in seven future industry fields: ▲ aerospace ▲ robotics ▲ biotechnology ▲ artificial intelligence (AI) ▲ mobility ▲ design convergence ▲ marine environment.
The academic presentation conference provided an opportunity for students to share the results of their investigations and practical work. Students presented findings and ideas developed through activities in their respective fields and shared their experiences exploring careers in future industries.
Building on this conference, Inha University plans to expand opportunities for hands-on career exploration connected to Incheon’s future industries and continue offering curricula tailored to students’ needs.
Dr. CHOI, KEEYOUNG, President of Inha University, said, “I hope students’ investigations into Incheon’s future industries will become their first step toward planning their own careers. We will continue expanding a model of cooperation in which high schools, universities, and the local community grow together.”
