EAE Business School Barcelona and BNBU sign academic cooperation agreement 

EAE Business School Barcelona, part of the higher education network Planeta Formación y Universidades, has signed a cooperation agreement with Beijing Normal-Hong Kong Baptist University (BNBU), the first Sino-Foreign Cooperative University established between the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong, China. The agreement was signed at the Oxford and Cambridge Club in London, during the inauguration ceremony of BNBU’s new center in the British capital.

The agreement, with an initial term of five years, opens the door to joint initiatives including student and faculty exchange, as well as the development of shared academic programs, both short- and long-term. The aim is to facilitate international learning experiences and to strengthen academic collaboration between Europe and Asia.

“The alliance with BNBU allows us to expand our opportunities for international cooperation and offer our students and faculty new academic experiences in a leading university environment,” says Marta Morcillo, Business Director of EAE Business School Barcelona.

Adolf K.Y. Ng, Dean and Professor of Business and Management at Beijing Normal-Hong Kong Baptist University, notes that “this agreement strengthens our international network of academic partners and lays the groundwork for future collaborations in teaching and research with a European institution with a strong international profile.”

Founded in 2005 as a result of collaboration between the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong, China, Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University (BNBU) is a pioneering higher education institution on the mainland. Located in Zhuhai, in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, BNBU offers instruction primarily in English, with an international and interdisciplinary approach, and provides undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Its Accounting and Finance programs are recognized by organizations such as HKICPA, CPA Australia, and ACCA.

With this agreement, EAE Business School Barcelona continues to consolidate its presence in Asia by building partnerships with leading institutions, such as the Hong Kong Baptist University academic network, whose business school holds the Triple Crown international accreditation (AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS). This collaboration complements other partnerships formalized in recent months with Anhui Sanlian University and Beijing Union University.

The signing ceremony was attended by representatives of both institutions, as well as delegates from other academic organizations, including Royal Holloway, University of London; King’s College London; University College London; and the University of Salamanca.
