Universiti Teknologi MARA, through the Faculty of Chemical Engineering (FKK) and its Office of Research & Industry Networking, strengthened its alumni engagement through FKK LEGASI & ECHO: Voice of Alumni 2.0 at UiTM Shah Alam. The programme integrated both platforms to enhance alumni–faculty connection and student readiness for professional engineering practice.
Final year students from Chemical Engineering and Oil and Gas Engineering participated alongside academic staff and alumni from diverse engineering sectors. The two segments were conducted on separate days following the Plant Design Project and Field Development Project presentations, enabling more reflective and application oriented discussions.
The sessions combined structured panel discussions with a relaxed setting that encouraged open interaction. Students actively engaged with alumni on industry experiences, career pathways, and workplace expectations. Alumni shared insights on leadership, collaboration, and professional challenges, strengthening students’ understanding of real world engineering practice.
This initiative reinforces UiTM’s commitment to producing industry ready graduates with strong technical and professional competencies.
