The London Academy of Trading, Australia’s Rugby Union Players Association form unique partnership

The London Academy of Trading (LAT) has partnered with Australia’s Rugby Union Players Association (RUPA) to offer its suite of programmes to past and present professional rugby union players across Australia. RUPA members can enrol on one of LAT’s short courses in financial markets and trading, as well as specialist subjects such as options trading, cryptocurrencies or trading psychology.

“I would definitely endorse LAT,” says former RUPA President and Wallaby captain, Dave Porecki. “Having completed LAT’s Advanced Diploma Trading Course when I was playing in the UK, I was really impressed with the flexibility LAT offered to enable me to study around my rugby commitments. The programme was affordable, with great structure and excellent lecturers who really understood my situation and helped me successfully complete my diploma programme.”

Paddy Osborn, Managing Director of LAT says: “We’re thrilled to establish this partnership with RUPA to enable professional rugby players to learn more about financial markets and trading. This will give them valuable knowledge, both for the present and for their future after their playing careers end.”

“Having had Dave Porecki and other UK Premiership rugby players complete our 12-week Advanced Trading Course, we’ve now designed a 6-week Foundation Trading Programme to kick-start players’ knowledge. From there, they can start trading, or further develop developing their skills with our advanced or specialist courses.”

LAT’s curriculum and teaching approach will develop practical skills to support RUPA members to help them find future employment or to trade the markets for themselves. The LAT programmes educate students how to apply learned knowledge in real-time markets in a disciplined and structured way, while considering both fundamental and technical aspects of trading.

Earlier this year, London Academy of Trading was crowned the Best Trading Courses Provider, UK, at the Global Excellence Awards 2024.

LAT Wins The Global 100 Award For 4th Consecutive Year

The London Academy of Trading has won the ‘Most Outstanding Trading Courses Provider – 2024’ for the fourth year in a row from The Global 100.

With its global readership of more than 376,000, The Global 100 does not follow the usual process of many publishers. Instead, they use a very specific, comprehensive evaluation process. After the closure of the voting period, which involves a strict format of self-submission and third-party nomination, firms are shortlisted and then the winners are selected. For each category, a propriety method of analysis ranks winners based on their domestic and international work.

Paddy Osborn, MD and Academic Dean of LAT, said: “This is a challenging award to win, so we are delighted to have been chosen as the Most Outstanding Trading Courses Provider for 2024. It is flattering to be recognised for our achievements, but our aim is simply to do everything in our power to help students achieve their personal goals.”

Earlier this year, LAT launched a bespoke one-on-one mentoring service to help traders fine-tune their skills and achieve consistent profitability. These personalised sessions with LAT specialists are completely bespoke, covering goal setting, trading psychology, strategy development, risk management and much more.

“This service is available to everyone, including LAT alumni as well as individuals who haven’t studied with us before,” says Paddy Osborn. “Many retail traders think they have the knowledge and skills to trade but many lack the final ingredients to be consistently successful. Having specific advice and guidance from our trading experts can give them what they need to get fully on track with their trading.”

The Global 100 consists of only 100 of the world’s leading firms and individuals.

London Academy of Trading introduces new post-course trader packages

The London Academy of Trading (LAT) is helping traders get up to speed and stay on track by including a range of valuable post-course support packages at no extra cost with their most popular trading courses.

While LAT courses provide students with the knowledge and skills to trade independently, it is still vital to build good habits and discipline when trading real money. To help students’ trading development, LAT has added a range of additional services within their existing courses to enable students to stick to their strategies and monitor their performance to maximise their chances of long-term success.

“We want our students to stay in touch with us once they complete their chosen course, so we’ve introduced these new complimentary packages to provide them with unrivalled post-course support while they establish themselves as traders,” says Paddy Osborn, Academic Dean and Managing Director. “Our new post course trade packages allow students to stay in close touch with us on a daily basis, with an extra year of free daily webinars and access to our trader forum, as well as free enrolment onto one of our specialist courses and a personalised 1-2-1 mentoring session.”

For students on our 12-week Advanced Trading Course, they will be given up to £2,789 worth of additional support services at no extra cost, including a free LAT specialist course, free access to our daily webinars and the LAT Xchange forum for 12 months, five days of trading desk rental on the LAT trading floor, and a free bespoke 1-2-1 mentoring session with one of our traders.

For students on our 4-week Trading Skills course, an additional £658-worth of post-course services is included, with free access to our daily webinars and Xchange forum for 6 months, plus two days of post-course desk rental on the LAT trading floor.

London Academy of Trading (LAT) wins Most Outstanding Trading Courses Provider 2022 from The Global 100

The London Academy of Trading (LAT), the UK’s first accredited trading academy, has won its third award this year with the “Most Outstanding Trading Courses Provider – 2022” from The Global 100.

With its global readership of more than 293,000, The Global 100 does not follow the usual process of many publishers. Instead, they use a very specific, comprehensive evaluation process. After the closure of the voting period, which involves a strict format of self-submission and third-party nomination, firms are shortlisted and then the winners are selected. For each category, a propriety method of analysis ranks winners based on their domestic and international work.

“This is a very challenging award to win, so we are delighted to have been chosen as the Most Outstanding Trading Courses Provider for 2022”, says Paddy Osborn, MD and Academic Dean of LAT. “Although it is flattering to be recognised for our achievements, our aim is simply to do everything in our power to help students to achieve their personal goals.”

Judges of the Global 100 looked at the scale, nature and strategic complexity of the work conducted by the participants. They also took into consideration whether participants were quick, within budget, used ground-breaking or innovative processes and focused strongly on the complexity and strategic significance of the work conducted.

LAT is very flexible, allowing students to study around other commitments, offering monthly intakes and options to study online, on campus or a blended combination of both. The faculty is composed of experienced traders and analysts from institutions including HSBC, Bank of America and Bloomberg who all trade live accounts and are available to students 10 hours a day to provide help and advice.

Earlier this year LAT continued its Women in Trading Scholarship programme, offering 30% scholarships to women for the fourth year running, and established a long-term partnership with ShareVision, the dynamic streaming platform for traders, economists and global financial news.

London Academy of Trading, Australia’s ISP Pty to market courses together

London Academy of Trading is set to market its range of financial courses in a partnership with Australia’s ISP Pty.

A dual-accredited provider of financial trading education, LAT, which prides itself on being the most trusted trading skills educator, will partner market its range of courses in Australia, New Zealand and Asia-Pacific with ISP Pty.

“LAT’s curriculum and teaching approach develops students’ creativity, resilience and practical skills to enhance their opportunities for employment or for trading financial markets,” says Paddy Osborn, MD and Academic Dean. “LAT develops its curriculum and utilises the diversity within its student community to maximise the effectiveness of its courses and enhance the experience for all students.”

Based in Sydney, ISP is a strategic marketing, recruitment consulting and operational company, specialising in supporting clients across different global education sectors, from online international education to local face-to-face educators.

“We have more than 30 years’ experience in providing a range of innovative and sector changing outcomes in the Australian and international education arenas,” says Mark Skinner, Chair and Founder of ISP. “LAT opens a unique window for Australians and New Zealanders seeking to gain the necessary insights into the fast-changing specialist world of equities, crypto currencies, wealth management and global financial market development.

“Being based in one of the two great financial capitals of the world, with a 12-year history of high-quality, modern teaching and hands-on tutors available throughout the day, LAT’s established online services provide great opportunities to provide insights that the market seeks.”

The LAT faculty is composed of experienced traders and analysts from major institutions such as HSBC, Bank of America and Bloomberg. All LAT academic staff trade live accounts daily and are available 10 hours a day to provide students with one-to-one help and guidance.

“The research we undertook in Australia and New Zealand confirmed that a significant sector of the market is looking for a better global understanding, balanced with local inputs from people with proven records across different markets and trading aspirations”, says Mark Skinner. “LAT has been doing that successfully for many years for students across the UK, EU, Middle East, Far East and Africa.”

The ISP team has won two Australian Government Export Awards for educational development success, created the largest student accommodation network in the Southern Hemisphere (Unilodge), and developed programs now taught in 12 different countries and recognised by over 250 universities around the world.

LAT recently won the “Most Outstanding Trading Courses Provider 2022 – UK” in the Global 100 Awards, to add to its other two awards already achieved in 2022.

London Academy of Trading lands two prestigious awards with flexible vocational programmes

The London Academy of Trading (LAT), the UK’s first accredited trading academy, has recently won two prestigious awards: the “Most Outstanding Trading Courses Provider 2022 – UK” at the AI – 2022 Global Excellence Awards and the “Trading Academy of the Year 2022” at the Prestige Awards. The latter is the third year in a row that LAT has won this accolade.

The judges were impressed by LAT’s ongoing mission to ensure its provision is among the very best in the world. LAT is continually expanding its portfolio, offering practical and vocational training courses, developed to help individuals looking to earn an additional income from trading financial markets, or those looking to further their career within the sector.

Paddy Osborn, Managing Director and Academic Dean of LAT, said: “We don’t work just to get awards, but it’s very satisfying to be recognised by two different institutions for these prestigious awards.

“We have an established team of tutors and traders who provide an extremely interactive and fulfilling experience for each individual student. Our simple aim is to do everything in our power to help students achieve their personal goals.

“On top of our trading courses, we’ve expanded our portfolio of courses to enable students to specialise in areas such as options trading, crypto trading, trading psychology, wealth management, equity investing or volume and order flow analysis.”

The LAT faculty is composed of experienced traders and analysts from major institutions such as HSBC, Bank of America and Bloomberg. They are all trading live accounts and are available 10 hours a day to provide students with one-to-one help and guidance.

LAT is extremely flexible to enable students to study around other commitments, offering monthly intakes, options to study online, on campus or a blend of both, while also offering options to upgrade from one course to another by simply paying the difference between the two.

Elsewhere, last month LAT offered 30% scholarships to women for the fourth year running with its Women in Trading Scholarship and has recently established a long-term partnership with ShareVision, a dynamic streaming platform for traders, economists and global finance.

London Academy of Trading offers 30% scholarships to women applicants in honour of International Women’s Day

The award-winning London Academy of Trading (LAT), the UK’s first accredited trading academy, is again offering 30% scholarships to women for the fourth year running with its Women in Trading Scholarship.

Covering the entire month of March, which includes International Women’s Day on the 8th all women interested in applying who can demonstrate leadership potential in a global business environment, exceptional academic merits and an established track record of excellence in their chosen career will be considered for the LAT scholarship.

“I think the under representation of women in the investment industry has been well known for a while,” says Paddy Osborn MD and Academic Dean of LAT. “In 2018, only 12-15% of all training roles in the UK were filled by women according to Investment Trends, a global research firm, in its 2018 UK Online Investing Report. In 2021, however, Fidelity saw a 43% increase in women retail traders.”

“Currently, only 20% of LAT’s students are women and we are very keen to see far more women in the industry and this is why we have our scholarship.”

Potential candidates for the scholarship will be considered on their desire to learn how to trade, their personal goals and how it will affect their career. Recipients of the LAT award will be expected to act as ambassadors for the brand and assist with marketing efforts once awarded.

Elsewhere, LAT established a long-term partnership in January with ShareVision, the dynamic streaming platform for traders, economists and global finance. This new partnership kicked-off with the launch of an exclusive video collaboration, “Getting Started in Retail Trading” which consisted of five short episodes.

London Academy of Trading and ShareVision collaborate to help people get started in retail trading

The award-winning London Academy of Trading (LAT), the UK’s first accredited trading academy, has established a long-term collaboration with ShareVision, a dynamic streaming platform for traders, economists and global finance.

This new collaboration will kick off with the launch of an exclusive video series, starting this week.

These sessions will be broadcast every Wednesday at 10:00 (GMT) starting on 26 January for five consecutive weeks. Posted on ShareVision’s platform, www.ShareVision.com, the first episode looks at understanding the macroeconomic calendar and how it affects financial markets.

The following weeks will discuss fundamental analysis and central bank actions, different markets to trade, how to analyse charts, and, finally, some thoughts on how human psychology affects trading performance.

“We believe this collaboration with ShareVision will provide individual traders with invaluable information and knowledge to enable them to become highly successful traders and we are looking forward to working closely with them over the coming months and years,” says Paddy Osborn, Academic Dean and Manager Director of LAT.

“Being a dual-accredited provider of financial education, we pride ourselves on being the most trusted of trading skills educators. London Academy of Trading launches LAT Xchange, a New Trading Forum and Community

The London Academy of Trading (LAT), the UK’s first accredited trading academy, has launched its LAT Xchange, a new global trading forum and community.

Exclusively for LAT students and alumni, the new forum provides an online platform, enabling them to interact with one another in real-time, as well as with LAT’s tutors and traders. Students and alumni are able to share ideas and trade set-ups while staying up to date on the latest news and analysis in the company of fellow traders.

Allowing 24 hours a day interaction, the platform also helps alleviate the feelings of isolation and stress when trading at home alone.

Invitations were sent out to an initial cohort of 250 students and alumni at the end of last month and more than 60% signed up to the platform within the first week.

“This is a new and very exciting development,” says Paddy Osborn, Academic Dean and Managing Director of LAT.

“The response from students has been fantastic and these forums are providing a perfect platform for students to accelerate their learning and for alumni to stay in touch with us as they develop their trading careers.”

Going forward, LAT is looking to increase the number of features and functions of the platform over the coming months, as well as making the service available to an increasing number of students and alumni.
