    UUM alumnus and member of the University Board of Directors listed in the Wace Co-Op Hall Of Fame

    Fellow Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) alumnus Dato’ Muzammil Mohamad has been inducted into the WACE Co-op Hall of Fame for the year 2019-2020.

    Dato ‘Muzammil, a 1992 UUM graduate of the Bachelor of Accounting programme, received the letter of appreciation presented by the Chairman of UUM Board of Directors, Dato’ Prof. Dr. Sudin Haron and witnessed by Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Ahmad Bashawir Abdul Ghani at the 3rd UUM Strategic Plan (2021-2025)Workshop held at the EDC Hotel on 10 October 2019.

    Dato’ Muzammil Mohamad is a member of the UUM Board of Directors cum the Country Manager Malaysia and Brunei at Qatar Airways.

    UUM through the UUM Centre for University-Industry Collaboration (CUIC), is a global partner of the World Association for Cooperative Education (WACE), an international professional organization dedicated to developing, expanding, designing and supporting cooperatives and educational programmes that integrate work in industry and educational institutions.

    The WACE Co-op Hall of Fame was created in 2001 to recognise and acknowledge outstanding graduates in the fields of cooperative and work-integrated education. It is aimed at showcasing success stories from a variety of careers and raising students’ awareness and interests in opportunities made available through college cooperative education.

    This year, 24 university leaders had nominated 33 outstanding candidates to receive the WACE Co-op Hall of Fame recognition, including those from Clarkson University, University of Cincinnati, University of Victoria and University at Albany besides UUM.

    The criteria for eligibility to be listed on the WACE Co-op Hall of Fame include alumni must be successful in their careers and support work-integrated education programmes and come recommended by their alma mater, besides that they must also hold a prominent position in world-renowned companies.

    The WACE Co-op Hall of Fame also recognises and acknowledges all kinds of experience-based learning by industry and educational institutions as preparation for the next generation of global professionals.
