    Unusa Ranks One PTNU in Indonesian

    The Nahdlatul Ulama Higher Education Institution (LPTNU) released the ninth rank of the best Nahdlatul Ulama (PTNU) in Indonesia based on the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) and the External Quality Assurance System (SPME).

    In the nine rankings, Surabaya’s Nahdlatul Ulama University (Unusa) became the best PTNU ranked first in Indonesia. Followed by Malang Islamic University, Wahid Hasyim University Semarang, NU Jepara Islamic University, UNU Lampung, Wonosobo Al Quran Science University, UNU Al Ghazali Cilacap, UNU Sidoarjo and UNU Surakarta.
    The ranking announcement was delivered at the LPTNU National Working Meeting (Rakornas) held in Bandung and attended by Menristekdikti, Prof. Mohamad Nasir, Ph.D., Ak. who is also the Chair of the LPTNU.

    Rector Unusa,, Prof. Dr. Ir. Achmad Jazidie, M.Eng., Thanked the LPTNU and the Ministry for the warning and award. “Thank you for all this, thanks to the support of the LPTNU and the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, Unusa continues to be motivated to improve the quality of the institution. The quality assurance system in higher education is very important, because starting from quality assurance, institutions can be better and more directed, “he said.

    He revealed, the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) is one of the solutions to answer various problems of higher education in Indonesia. SPMI is considered capable of answering the challenges of higher education. “This is what Unusa has implemented, so that Unusa can get an award from the Menristekdikti, as the best NU Campus in implementing quality assurance,” he said in the 4th Floor Tower Rector Room at Unusa Campus B Jemursari Surabaya, Thursday (02/19).

    Deputy Chairperson of the LPTNU, Muhammad Afifi, revealed that the award criteria for universities were assessed both in internal and external quality assurance. The criteria are based on the assessment of the Kemristekdikti quality assurance standard that has been ranked nationally.

    “The LPTNU ranks the nine best PTNUs in Indonesia and Unusa ranks first. Even though it is only 5 years old, it is a commitment to improve Unusa’s best service and quality assurance, “he said when delivering the announcement at the LPTNU National Coordination Meeting in Bandung.

    Afifi added, the LPTNU is committed to increasing the quality of education in the NU environment. This is in accordance with the request of the Chairperson of the LPTNU who is also the Menristekdikti. “These efforts have been carried out since 2015 through accreditation clinics. For example, for universities that have not been accredited, are encouraged to be accredited, accredited C is encouraged to be B, and B is encouraged to become A, “he explained.
