Under the patronage of HE the Minister of Education Dr. Hamad Al Shaikh, Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University will host The Award Ceremony of Presidents and Rectors of Universities and Higher Education Institutions in the GCC countries, entitled “Entima & Tanmia”, on Wednesday 16 October 2019 in the Fairmont Hotel to award the winners of universities and higher education institutions in the GCC countries.
The award is chaired by the Rector of Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University and the Secretary General of the award Prof. Einas AlEisa. It’s worth mentioning that the award committee consists of number of vice rectors of a number of universities and higher education institutions in the GCC countries.
In this regard, the Vice Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research and the Deputy Secretary of the Award Dr. Ahmed Al Ghadeer said that based on Article number 4 of the GCC statute; this award is a reflection of the lofty goals of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), which are devoting attention to the scientific progress in all fields, encouraging research and studies and recognizing the importance of the work assigned to universities and higher education institutions in the GCC countries. He added: “The award comes as the first award granted by the rectors of universities and higher education institutions in the GCC countries to the faculty members in three divisions, which are: Education, Scientific Research and Community Service.
Dr. Al Ghadeer also pointed out that the mechanism of the arbitral award for the participations was done by three arbitrators of specialized competencies from universities and higher education institutions in the GCC countries, in addition to the arbitration of the businesses and projects nominated in accordance with the local and international standards. After that, the results are submitted to the Scientific Committee for review. Therefore, the Secretariat of the Award authorize them, which reflects the importance role of the Secretariat of the Award in coordination with the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
