    UM breaks into Top 100 in World University Rankings

    University of Malaya (UM) attains its highest rank at 87th globally from 114th in the previous year. The latest QS World University rankings witnessed most Malaysian universities improved in rankings.

    Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (184th) made it to the world’s Top 200; while three other institutions that have demonstrated vast improvement in rankings are namely Universiti Putra Malaysia at 202th, Universiti Sains malaysia at 207th and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia at 228th.

    Ben Sowter, Research Director at QS shared that the Malaysian higher education system is reputable among international academics and employers. Therefore, to maintain and/or advance this positive route, local universities should continue to place emphasis on propeling the impact of research they initiate.
