    UiTM’s Knowledge Transfer Program on Salamweb Browser Usage

    The Centre of Computer Engineering Studies (CCES), Faculty of Electrical Engineering (FKE), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam recently organized the Knowledge Transfer Program on Salamweb Browser Usage and Installation Workshop on 6th August 2019. About 20 technical officers and academics staff joined the workshop to optimize the usage of Salamweb Browser. Academicians and students are also encouraged to optimize the usage of the browser on their mobile phones.

    In this initiative, a total of 424 PCs were installed successfully with SalamWeb Browser at 14 FKE laboratories. This program was led by Ts Dr Murizah Kassim, while Ts. Dr. Roslina Mohamad was the advisor for this collaboration with Salam Web Technologies MY Sdn Bhd which to move the use of analytics, usage and research development in the faculty.

    Salam Web Technologies MY Sdn Bhd is a leading development company in the information technology services and services ecosystem based on Shariah principles. It is the world’s first Shariah certified web browser which is based in Kuala Lumpur and Vilnius, Lithuania. The signing of MoU in September 2018 saw the beginning of a close collaboration between Salam Web Technologies MY Sdn Bhd and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, UiTM. Salamweb Technologies aimed to increase the usage of Salamweb Browsers to reach its targets of 1 Million users.
