    UiTM Perlis Signs MoU with Three Organizations for Fostering Research

    Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Perlis branch and three organizations namely; ANCOM Crop Care Sdn. Bhd, Kedah Industrial Skills & Management Development Centre (KISMEC) and Little Hiccups officially signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for collaboration and continuing their partnership in enhancing research, facilitates academics developments trainings, share research facilities, study visit, staff exchange programs, and students mobility programs.

    The MoU signing ceremony was held virtually on October 15 2020 via Facebook live apps page of Research, Industry, Community & Alumni Network (RICAN), UiTM Perlis branch.

    Lecturers Noorazalia Izha Haron, Fazmawati Zakaria and Dr. Latisha Asmaak Shafie from Academy of Language Studies, Dr. Zuliahani Ahmad, Mohd Syamaizar Mustafa and Muhamad Naiman Sarip belonging to Faculty of Applied Sciences and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chuah Tse Seng from the Faculty of Plantation and Agrotechnology initiated the collaboration with Little Hiccups, KISMEC and ANCOM Corp Care Sdn. Bhd respectively.

    The signatories were the Rector of UiTM Perlis branch, Prof. Dr. Hj Khudzir Bin Hj Ismail, Chief Operating Officer of ANCOM Crop Care Sdn. Bhd, Mr. Anthony Tan Swee Hock, Mr. Mohd Yusuri Yusof, the Executive Director of Kedah Industrial Skills & Management Development Centre (KISMEC) and Mr. Shahrin Saad the Founder and Chairman of Little Hiccups.   The witness of this e-ceremony were UiTM Perlis branch executives and top managements representatives from the three respective organizations.

    Speaking at the e-signing ceremony, the Rector of UiTM Perlis branch said such joint initiatives will pave a successful journey for all the parties.  He added that the signed MoU will create an excellent platform to foster and enrich research among UiTM Perlis branch, KISMEC and ANCOM Crop Care Sdn. Bhd.

    He said “This will be a stepping stone for strategic collaboration in the future and UiTM Perlis branch sees this as a golden opportunity to serve and lend expertise for a comprehensive research engagement.”

    It is anticipated that the co-operation between UiTM Perlis branch and the three established organizations will help in producing graduates who are marketable and competitive with enrichment of both academic and industrial knowledge.

    The e-signing ceremony ended with a group photography session and a brief discussion on the collaboration activities.
