The Division of Research, Industry, Community and Alumni Network, Universiti Teknologi MARA Perlis Branch successfully held The International Scholarly Talk on 5 February 2020. This talk is one of the many such programs regularly organized by the division.
Two international experts, Dr Evizal Abdul Kadir, and Dr Eng. Muslim from Universitas Islam Riau (UIR), Indonesia, were invited as professional speakers for 30 participants which comprised of lecturers and postgraduate students from diverse backgrounds.
Both invited speakers shared with the audiences their in-depth knowledge on respective topics. Dr. Evizal gave a talk on “The Future Trend of Information Technology in Era of IR 4.0.” Meanwhile Dr. Eng. Muslim talked about “The Potency of Biochemical for Improving Oil Production in the Indonesian Oil Field.
In the afternoon, a meeting between UiTM Perlis Branch’s top management was held and chaired by the Rector of UiTM Perlis Branch; Prof Dr Hj Khudzir Hj Ismail and also attended by Deputy Rector of Academic; Assoc Prof Dr Zakaria Mat Aroff, Deputy Rector of Students Affairs; Dr Ahmad Nizan Mat Noor and Deputy Rector of Research, Industry, Community and Alumni Network; Assoc Prof Ts. Dr Shukor Sanim Mohd Fauzi. The objective of the meeting was to discuss possible cooperation between both parties which include research cooperation in terms of the international matching grant between UiTM Perlis Branch and UIR, staff exchange, and student mobility program that will be conducted in the year 2020. Apart from that, both sides also agreed to renew Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and also to initiate Memorandum of Agreement related to the discussed activities.
It is hoped that the international linkages between UiTM Perlis Branch and UIR will bring many benefits to all parties.
