Muhammad Aqmar Dini Omar, a final year art student from the Faculty of Art and Design, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), won the first place for the Oil and Acrylic category in The Art Competition organized by Usaha Tegas Sdn Bhd (UTSB) on 1st November 2019. He received RM8000 as prize money, as well as 50 complimentary tickets of TGV Cinema and certificate from UTSB. While in the Printmaking category, both 2nd and 3rd prizes were won by the students of the faculty with the prize winners winning RM3000 and RM2000 respectively. The prize-giving ceremony was held at Maya Hotel, Kuala Lumpur,
The Usaha Tegas Heritage Art Competition which is held annually highlights and showcases Malaysia’s talented young artists. The main aim of the competition is to highlight the importance of valuing and preserving the rich heritage of the nation through art. UTSB chairman Tan Sri T. Ananda Krishnan has been supporting the competition since it was first initiated 20 years ago.
