    Tomas Bata University ranked top university established in Czech Republic after 1989

    Tomas Bata University, Zlín has been ranked among the top 3% educational institutions in the area of Central and Eastern Europe, including the countries of former Soviet Union in accordance to the QS University Rankings.

    Prof Petr Sáha, Rector at TBU shared that this year, the university successfully attained the 91st place among the QS University Rankings, rising from a total of four positions; while garnering the 9th position out of the total 26 Czech public higher education institutions. Prof Sáha added: “At the same time, the ranking confirms that we are the best among universities established in the Czech Republic after 1989”.

    Lomonosov Moscow State University takes the lead among the rankings for 26 Czech public higher education institutions, while Charles University – the oldest and largest Czech university came in fourth.

    The QS Rankings is conducted using its own methodology based on nine indicators and TBU has managed to acquire outstanding results in the following categories: Papers per Faculty, International Faculty Ration, Academic Staff with Ph.D, International Student Ratio and Employee Reputation as shared by Prof Sáha.
