    The Effectiveness of Leading Russian Universities in Achieving Graduate-Level Employability from Social Network Data

    This research paper aims to shed light on employability rates of graduates from Russia’s leading universities participating in the 5-100 Competitiveness and Growth Program, particularly in the areas of “Mathematics and Information Technology” and “Engineering” where positive  correlation between subject specialism and employment is expected. The research results will be attained through the use of ‘VKontakte’ social network – a useful source of data for studying many aspects of Russian social life.

    Employability of graduates is more important than ever due to the ever-evolving labor market. As such, universities in Russia has been working towards the modernisation of the nation’s economic development measures so as to increase the alignment of university programmes with the workforce demands.
